DESTINATIONS
"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."
— St. Augustine
Let us help you expand your readiing list. Here are some suggestions.
Africa
For an idea as to the immense size and scope of Africa, take a look at this map, showing how many countries would fit into it. Is it any wonder that there are so many different things to see and do between Morocco on the north and South Africa on the south?
We think of Africa as being hot, but did you know that there are penguins--those precious tuxedoed birds who do their Charlie Chaplin walk--on its southern coastline? There are vineyards and river cruises, and of course there are safaris. A special treat in Africa is to stay in 5-star, ultra luxury, tented camps.
Visitors to Africa describe it as life-changing, and almost to a person they say it's the one place on earth where they most want to return.
Caribbean
The Caribbean needs no introduction. Some popular ways to experience the islands are cruising or staying at an all-inclusive resort. For anyone who likes pristine beaches and warm, clear waters, there will be an island and a resort to call paradise.
Volunteerism Idea for Teens:
Beaches Resorts offers high school teens the opportunity to give back to the local communities of Jamaica and/or Turks & Caicos while earning community service hours toward their high school graduation requirements. The program is called Island Impact. Please contact us for more information.
We at ScheckTrek Travel are Europe specialists. The continent is a personal favorite of ours and is the destination to which we most often gravitate for personal travel, having visited 19 European countries, some of them as many as three or four times.
Mexico
We may not often think of Mexico this way, but in addition to its colonial villages and Mayan ruins, it has a whole coastline of Caribbean beaches. There is often more value in Mexican resorts than in comparable ones elsewhere in the Caribbean, and there are many fabulous resorts from which to choose. For example, the one in the photo--in addition to facing a private area of the beach--has glass walls that can disappear into the structure.
South Pacific
Australia. New Zealand. Fiji. Moorea. Or Bora Bora, about which Captain James Cook said, "Scarcely a spot on the universe affords a more luxurious prospect."
Turkey
The author of 1,000 Places to See Before You Die, Patricia Schultz, said that she considers Istanbul as one of the top four cities in the world, along with London, Paris, and New York. Rick Steves is also a huge fan--and so is ScheckTrek Travel. Turkey is one of our specialties.
United States
From sea to shining sea or across the sea to Hawaii or over the mountain majesties to Alaska--we cover it all for upscale-to-luxury travel.
