Special 7th Anniversary Blog

October 28, 2017, will mark the 7th anniversary of ScheckTrek Travel. The agency continues to far outpace any expectations we had for it at its inception.

As we approach the Thanksgiving season, Al and I are reminded of how much we appreciate all of you who have helped to bring us to this point. So, our thanks to all of you for your part in that!

Some of the highlights of the last seven years include a 12-day tour of Turkey we organized for 79 participants.

Another special group trip was requested by the then-president of The University of Texas at Tyler: a golf tour of Ireland for invited friends of the university.

While there have been other groups, most of the trips we’ve planned have been for individuals, couples or families. We’ve worked with you on your respective honeymoons in Moorea and St. Lucia, your milestone-anniversary trips to Scotland and on Rocky Mountaineer, including a multi-generational family’s Alaska cruise in celebration of the grandparents' 50th anniversary. We’ve booked families on an Adventures By Disney river cruise in Europe, and we’ve worked with you for your bucket-list African safaris and tours of Southeast Asia.

Of course, there have been so, so many more cruises, escorted tours and customized vacations than we can list. In each case, because of them—because of you—we’ve had the honor and privilege of experiencing the world with you, either literally or vicariously. We thank you for that!

On another note, you may have noticed that there’s been a hiatus in our blog postings lately. We’ve recently returned from a trip to England, Wales and Ireland, so you can expect more information to be coming your way about that. In the meantime, here are a few photos to give you an overview of our trip.

Again, to all of you, we say thank you for your past business, and we look forward to the pleasure of working with you again soon!

Our warmest regards,

Vicki et Al
